Spring Photo Shoot + OOTD

Hello There!

Check out a few shots from my boutique's photo shoot this past St. Patty's Day Weekend. We decided to shoot our "Savvy Street Style" looks in the downtown Highland area. It was such a great location, crowded with people riding bikes, jogging in the park, shopping, and dining in at cute little cafes.

Russell Westbrook's Fashion Fail!

Hey everybody! What a beautiful sunny day in the ATL! It's probably going to be cold and rainy tomorrow, so I took advantage of the weather and spent some time outside with my hubby and daughter. I haven't been able to blog as often due to my new hectic work schedule, but I had to share my OOTD - Camo skinnies + Camel Blazer.  This outfit inspiration came from someone you would never expect.....RUSSELL WESTBROOK! While I am NOT necessarily a fan of his style preference, especially the extra tight 26 slim pants (per Kevin Hart, LOL), I felt inspired to remake the ensemble he wore at the All Star Weekend Game.

I can now check off Camo Skinnies off my wardrobe wish list:)  One of my friends thrifted these amazing camo skinnies the other day and I couldn't wait to wear them! (check out her SummerNParis website!) I chose to pair them with a thrifted vintage camel blazer, a white button down shirt, nude pumps, and my favorite plum colored structured bag from H&M.

So what do you think?  I would love to hear from you :)

Until Next Time!

Blue and Green Color Blocking!!!

Hey Folks! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! Yesterday was so beautiful outside so I decided to wear my favorite color combo, Blue & Green, to church! Pantone's color of the year is emerald green, so I'm sure we will be seeing a lot of  it in the stores! I've always loved the color green and it's such a beautiful color to wear in the spring time. You can also have some fun by mixing different shades of green in your look.

I thrifted this wool vintage skirt at Goodwill last summer and was so excited to finally be able to wear it! The blue vintage blazer was also thrifted a while ago, (don't remember the place). I wanted to add a little texture to the outfit, so I found this cream lace top at Goodwill the other day and it worked out pretty well. I added an interest piece with the leopard print skinny belt from Target. I found these vintage shades at Park Ave Thrift for $1...WINNING!

So what's your favorite color to wear with GREEN?

 Until next time!

Tucci's Saved the Day!!!

Hello Lovely People! Today I must tell you about this awesome spot called Tucci's that sells unique new and consigned furnishings and accessories. This week has been extremely rainy and gloomy in Atlanta, so I decided to brighten things up a bit by doing a little "window shopping" at Tucci's on my lunch break. They have all kinds of fabulous items such as chic decorative chairs, antique home decor accessories, vintage fur coats and handbags, stylish lamps, and eclectic and antique wall art! When I walked in, I immediately fell in love with these chevron fabric chairs! I couldn't find a picture of the exact chairs on their website, so I found a picture of similar chairs on Pinterest. I would love to add these in my future bedroom with pops of mustard yellow and turquoise:)

You can also consign with Tucci's and receive 50% of the selling price. They have one location in Kennesaw and a new location in Roswell. Check them out! You can find great pieces to transform your home! Below are a few pics of items for sale in the store.

Absolutely love this plush white chair w/the turquoise accent lamps!

Until next time!

Welcome!

Hi everyone and welcome to my first personal blog post! This will be a challenging learning experience because I know absolutely nothing about blogging, (yes I know I'm late). However, I'm intrigued about starting this blog journey because I have the freedom to express my love for life, family, friendships, fashion, and the many other things that shape the fabrics of my unique personality:) I cherish the simple things in life such as spending a Saturday night watching movies with hubby, taking my daughter to her favorite frozen yogurt shop, or spending a Sunday afternoon hunting for treasures at the local thrift stores.

I LOVE to thrift shop!...It's very therapeutic for me. Apart from finding amazing vintage pieces, it also gives me a chance to clear my head when I have a lot on my mind. About a little over a year ago, my best friend and I started a mobile resale clothing boutique, called Savvy Thriftique, where we provide personalized home shopping parties, similar to the Mary Kay concept. I love it because it gives women the benefits of socializing, shopping, and indulging in yummy treats all at the same time! In future blog posts, I will share pictures of some of our signature vintage pieces and shopping parties.

Well, sit back and enjoy as I share family adventures, thrifting experiences, my love for vintage fashion, and so much more!!!
